Curt was born in Texas and moved to California in 1959.  He has 4 wonderful children and 2 amazing grandsons.  He moved to Lake Tahoe form Southern California because he is passionate about the Tahoe Lifestyle. 

A rock climber for over 35 years, he’s climbed Yosemite’s El Capitan several times as well as many other Big Walls throughout the US and Mexico.  His other outdoor passions include surfing, snow boarding, backcountry skiing, mountain hiking, road biking and swimming in this amazing body of water known as Lake Tahoe. 

He is active in the community as a supporter of The League to Save Lake Tahoe, Earth Justice, The Sierra Club, The Access Fund (climbing preservation) as well as public TV’s KNPB.  Central to his beliefs is the axiom, “WE CAN LEAVE IT BETTER THAN WE FOUND IT.”
