After School Programs - Sparks & Spanish Springs

The start of a new school year is just around the corner.  If you live in the Sparks or Spanish Springs area, are considering a move here and have school age children chances are you may need before or after school care.  Here are some resources to help you find the best fit for your child.

KID CONNECTION   The City of Sparks Kid Konnection before/after school program for Kindergarten (full day) through 6th grade operates on school days at 14 elementary schools located throughout Sparks and Spanish Springs. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. until school starts for before school, and, from the time school is dismissed until 6 p.m. for after school. Participating schools include: Bud Beasley, Lloyd Diedrichsen, Katherine Dunn, Jesse Hall, Lena Juniper, Alice Maxwell, Robert Mitchell, Marvin Moss, Lincoln Park, Miguel Sepulveda, Spanish Springs, Alyce Taylor, Edward Van Gorder, Jerry Whitehead. DISCOVERIES  RED MUSTANGS are 6-12 year olds enrolled in before and after school care. We realize that school hours don’t always match up with work hours. That is why at Discoveries Preschool and Child Care we open at 6 AM for early morning drop offs and we’re open until 6 PM for parents who work late. PURPLE DOOR PRESCHOOL  Kindergarten through 4th grade before and after school care for kids at Vangorder Elementary.  7 a.m. to 6 p.m. KINDERCARE  Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years) THE ROCK CHURCH   We provide care for school age children before and after school hours.  We also provide transportation to and from Sepulveda Elementary and Bud Beasley Elementary. GODDARD SCHOOL  Offers before and after school programs. Goddard School's trained teachers provide your child with individualized homework assistance, as well as supervised computer time to promote technical literacy. KIDS CLUB SPARKS This program is for elementary children first grade and older.  Serving Greenbrae, Florence Drake and Lena Juniper Elementary Schools. Children are served breakfast at 7:45a.m. After school children will receive a snack. After snack time, they choose from a variety of activities. At 4:00p.m. we assist children with their homework. NEVADA AFTER SCHOOL NETWORK  The Nevada Afterschool Network is here to provide outreach and advocacy for parents, children and out-of-school program providers.
