It’s an enchanting Annual Tree Lighting event on December 1, 2023, at the State Capitol Grounds. The evening kicks off with free electric sleigh rides from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., followed by the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Enjoy the jolly atmosphere with performances by Carson City's 5th Grade Music Students and witness the State Tree Lighting at 6:00 p.m. Afterward, the celebrations continue downtown until 7:15 p.m., offering free sleigh rides, photo opportunities with Santa and the Grinch, hot cocoa, and heartwarming caroling by various choirs.
